Sts. Johnson Alternative Spirituality Collection and Worship Space
In 2009 the Museum entrusted the Dayle House’s south chapel to the care of the former congregation and ministers of the Reformed Mapuche and Orthodox UU Fellowship of Bolm Road, regular volunteers and supporters of the TAMONNATAOA through financial gifts and service on the Board of Directors: Deacanne Sister Hazel St. Johnson and Rev. Apostate Caleb St. Johnson.
According to its founders, The Sts. Johnson Collection, represents “theologically diverse and experimental art in its pure state as the philosophical and aesthetic jetsam of a culture.” We’re not sure exactly what that means, but the Alternative Spirituality Collection is a popular part of our museum, and both the congregation and the minister hold services in the chapel Sunday mornings, taking turns.
