(Swirling Snow)

(Swirling Snow)
ND
05/2015, Salvation Army (183 and Anderson Mill)

Embracing bold vortexes of gray and blue against the deep blue-black of the night sky, ND suggests waves of the northern lights or clouds twisted into spirals by the relentless Antarctic winds. Many of the spirals and loops suggest musical notes and staffs (like the base clef, a dotted spiral). This, and the parallel lines and gentle symmetry of the sky and pine trees, invoke a harmony of nature event on this harsh winter night.
