Found 11/2011, Goodwill (2222 and Lamar)

Very few young artists have attempted such a detailed examination of a small subject. (Flower) draws heavily on the Cubist tradition; the artist effectively dissects the subject, recomposing and reorganizing it to simultaneously portray the subject—in this case a lily—from a number of physical and emotional perspectives. We simultaneously view the lily from the front, from the side, in extreme close-up and wide angle, even from within the flower itself. The anonymous artist fills the canvas with the full experience of the flower.
